Steak and chips with garlic sauce


Ingredients:
600g desiree potatoes, washed, cut into chips
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 (150g each) beef sirloin steaks
1 cup beef stock
1/3 cup tomato sauce
2 garlic cloves, crushed
80g mixed salad leave

Directions:
Preheat oven to 200ºC/180ºC fan-forced. Place potato and half the oil in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Toss to combine. Place, in a single layer, on a baking tray. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden and tender.

Drizzle steaks with remaining oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook steaks for 4 to 5 minutes each side for medium or until cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate. Cover. Set aside for 5 minutes.
Add stock, sauce and garlic to pan. Cook, stirring for 8 minutes or until sauce has thickened. Serve steaks with sauce, chips and salad.
